I had a question tonight from one of our members who was having a problem uploading Topicals using the Bulk Uploader. The message that they were getting was:

"Record 6: The number of fields should be 10 of you are not using Topicals or it should be 12 if you are using Topicals. 11 fields were found."

I believe that they were using Quatro Pro on a Windows 11 computer to create the Bulk Upload file. The problem was that Quatro Pro was losing the last collumn because it didn't have anything in it. I got them to send me the file they were trying to upload. I ran it through Libre Office Calc. I didn't make any changes, I just opened it and re-saved it and sent it back. That fixed the problem. They were successfully able to upload the file.

My question for you all is: have any of you seen this problem before? If so, how did you get around it? There have been no changes in the Bulk Loader program for quite a while.

Regards ... Tim.

If the bulk load file is a csv file you can add an extra comma at the end of each row using notepad++ (a free replacement for windows notepad). Open the file in notepad++, select Search, Replace, select regular expressions as the search mode, enter $ in the find what: box and , (comma) in the replace with: box and click on replace all.

Alternatively, install any of the free spreadsheet programs such as Libre Office Calc or FreeOffice Planmaker.

I's just a simple soul and can find what I am interested in by using the "Countries" search or "Keyword" search.

It is bad enough listing with the countries list next to you, and the categories list and to have another long list of "Topicals" as well.

The additional time spent typing would wear out my poor delicate digits.Big Grin
