Hi
I am trying to set a starting bid price for the Mauritius Scott 172, MNH stamp block.
I didn't find any closed sales and I found offers for $15 (MVLH)??
Can you help me with a recent value for this stamp in MNH condition?

Scott 2023, unused $12.00, no MNH value given. My 2015 Scott Classic doesn't give a value for that stamp in MNH condition. Maybe a newer classic catalogue does.

re: Mauritius stamp

This is a very nice item, with good resale value.

I don't use Scott, so this is SG216, CV £15 each, MH. Rule of thumb is double that for MUH. So, £15x12 = £180, x 2 =£360.

There will be a premium for the block, having both sheet and plate numbers.

re: Mauritius stamp

Thanks Michael and Dave.
I am no longer surprised by the selling price of $15.
I am surprised by the increase from $4.75 (Scott 2009) - approx. 300%.
I'm curious if I can find amateurs in my country for $25.
I still have a block with a plate number, but I hesitate to identify the color: ultramarine or dull blue(Scott 175 or 176) or if 1 is a plate flaw.
The increase in value is still approx. 300%?
