Had a pleasant exchange recently with noted philatelic revenue publisher John Barefoot. John advised he is preparing updated versions of a number of currently out-of-print revenue stamp catalogues including Great Britain, British Commonwealth, World Telegraph, Benelux, and Russia. Successful preparation of each of these much anticipated reference works depends in no small part on collectors sharing information and images from their respective holdings. (Contact John at JBarefootL@aol.com).

While the preceding is likely sufficient to raise the pulse of the die-hard revenue enthusiast, it was John's revelations as to future catalogues which truly brought a smile to my face: French Colonies, Indian Princely States, Germany, Spanish Colonies, Egypt, and Ecuador. So much for any musings re possible retirement! As my in-house fiscal agent is oft to say, "Hobbies cost money".

Disclaimer: Although I remain an unabashed fan of John Barefoot and his philatelic publications, any items discussed within my postings were purchased either directly from JB or other purveyors of his catalogues.
