A rare 1951 KGVI brown-purple 3½d showing perforations misplaced 8mm to the left. This fine used example was cancelled by a Victorian c.d.s., and dated “16 JL 52” and is the same stamp mentioned in the ACSC (Australian Commonwealth Specialists’ Catalogue), and is certified as of exhibition quality.
The paper is transparent giving the delusive appearance of thin paper, though there are copies of the regular issue made on thin paper (0.075mm), this major flaw is only found on the regular thick paper.
