I bought the stamps from a couple of dealers in Ukraine. The prices were reasonable. The highest prices early on were from dealers in the US. They must have sold theirs, and now the hype is gone, so better prices prevail would be my guess.
The same thing happened with a set of bird stamps from PNG in1993 .They were issued with a capital T with the value IE:90T it should have been a small t IE:90t.
A dealer in Australia got hold a a few sets ,as the PNG postal service pulled them back ,and was selling them at $1,000 a set .So what the PNG postal service did was to issue the large T stamps to the general public for a few $'s a set,So all those stamp collectors that paid a $1,000 a set were mightly peveed.

I noticed on E-Bay the prices for a block of these stamps, or a souvenir sheet, is now in the $10 - $15 range. Weren't people asking huge prices for these when they first showed up? I'm wondering how many people were paying the large amounts months ago who are now very ticked off!! Did they suddenly start manufacturing huge amounts of the stamps or are the ones available now different from the expensive original ones? I don't really want one, I'm just curious.
