I didn't even know they existed!
Being a mechanic, these are fascinating to me!
Guess I'll have to research more about them - thanks for posting them.
I collect advertising pairs and booklet panes from Denmark. It is an interesting area. I don't have my Danish catalogue with me as I am overseas for a few more days. The pricey ones, to my remembrance include some of the auto industry logos. From these advertising panes can be found unique plate flaws and the 'Pearl Grey" colour.

Those items are really "cool"!! I've been around stamps for over 50 years (started later than a lot of you!!) and have never seen an example of this.
Were these only done for General Motors? I just checked the Oakland and it was a GM product (early) as well. Did Ford, or any other company, do this? The only other comparable item I've seen is the advertising on the back of a few of my New Zealand stamps. Boy, wouldn't they be an SOB to detect on covers! By the way, here's a great little article on those. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/innovativ ...
Italy produced stamps in 1924 to 1925 with adverts. Companies like Campari and Singer Sewing Machines.

Very nice! I really like these.
I'd never seen any of these before and had a quick check in my catalogues.
My old (2008) Facit Special mentions them but refers to the 2007 edition for details.
My even older (1998/99) Michel Europa-Katalog West does have a listing with small black and white drawings.
Other grill-style designs include Chevrolet (different), Pontiac (2 designs), Oldsmobile (2 designs), Buick, La Salle, Chevrolet Lastvogn (different).
There also some others with GMC badge designs and various non-GMC products.
Hi @philatelia
I really like the stamp-advertisement pairs from the booklets.
I searched in the Michel catalog (2014) and their value is at least 100 times higher than the value of the simple stamp.
For the 10 ore pairs, I have completed the catalog page so that you can understand:
For the 5 ore pairs, you have a pair that is worth almost 1000 times as much as the simple stamp:
I'm curious how much these pairs of stamps cost you?
There are many types of pairs and I think it is very difficult and expensive to find them.
Hmmm - I’ve been collecting Denmark for decades. If I remember correctly most were part of a collection I purchased. I bought a few of them years ago from Jay Smith, too. And I found a some on EBay. Others were old auction purchases. I used to buy from a dealer named Stateside Stamps - might have bought from them. Skanfil auction is a good source for Scandinavia. Prices - I really can’t recall.
There are many other advertising pairs that are much more affordable. The General Motors issues are priciest.
Thank you for sharing your advertising pairs for General Motors labels in Denmark' booklets. I have attached some scans that you might be interested in of several pages from the Denmark Stamp Booklets Catalogue (1987) by Rob Boom (Boomstaps B.V., Netherlands) that show the individual panes in the three booklets issued with General Motors advertising labels. I have also included a page from Rogers Postal Booklet Catalogue (1947) by Jacques H. Rogers (Booklet Stamp Company, New York) that shows two of those booklets exploded with covers, panes and interleaves. I am also showing two panes in my collection from the second booklet issued in November 1928. I have been interested in booklets for many years.
Wonderful stuff!
Thank you for posting!
The learning is seemingly endless here!
Now off to find my own.
Excellent info on these booklets - much more extensive than anything in my Michel or Facit. Thank you VERY MUCH for sharing!
This is so interesting thanks for sharing - I love how stamps can take you off down a trail you never knew existed!
Just added an Oakland Radiator pair today. The Oakland cars were manufactured in my home state of Michigan, in Pontiac, about 30 minutes from the GM facility where I worked.
here’s the 1929 booklet stamp pair and the 1929 Oakland car:
As a retiree from General Motors, the Danish advertising pairs with various GM logos, radiators and so on are something I just HAVE to collect! Does anyone else collect these?
This little MNH goodie arrived today:
Here are a few more - check out those old radiators!
