i came home yesterday evening and my wife informed me that some one had called me on the phone and also left an email. Not being a phone person i opted for the email. It was from a fellow that worked for the same company i did...but i had not seen or heard from him in 30 years. He asked if i wanted a collection of APS magazines from 1980 forward..he had been diagnosed pancreatic cancer and his wife had no interest in inheriting the magazines. I told him i had more than enough of them myself and rarely referred to them but that there is a stamp meeting this Thursday and no promises but i would mention them to the membership . It is interesting that now that the APS has less than half the membership it had when i joinned...the magazine is so much more superior to the sepia colored little magazine of the 1970s.
