"I'll probably message the person as well and tell her what I did."
What would be the sin?
Sin?
Paying the seller for the same invoice twice.
Underpaying an invoice.
Overpaying an invoice.
Taking months to pay for purchases.
Not complying to a sellers condition of sale.
Not keeping your Members information up to date.
Failing to comply with the Rules of Stamporama.
I guess we have far different idea what sins are.
I don't understand when you said "Failing to comply with the Rules of Stamporama", where does it say this was a Stamporama invoice?

Definition of sin:- transgression, wrong, breach, misdeed, offence, error, lapse, shortcoming.
I assumed it was a Stamporama Invoice as Harvey posted it on here and besides the word "open" was used and the invoicing system here is the only one I know where that prompt occurs.
It is one of the many failings of members here whereby they do not take the time to read the Rules and understand the Rules. They also do not take the time to investigate how the Stamporama System works and how to operate the system to their advantage and for the ease of others.
That is why I consider it a sin for members who "Fail to comply with the Rules of Stamporama".
I was looking through my invoices and saw one that I was never informed of and it was called "open". It was not an old invoice but was almost brand new. I probably should have messaged the seller but without thinking I paid it. I've never run into an invoice called "open" before. What does it mean and did I make a mistake paying it? I'll probably message the person as well and tell her what I did.
Edit: I think the problem was that I was bidding on several more of her items that hadn't closed yet and rather that send an invoice when all were finished she posted an open ended one to be sent later. It's just that I've never run into this before. Moral of the story - I should have waited!!
