Ian, you are NOT wrong.
This topic is "A place to discuss and ask questions about the operational aspects of the Stamporama Approvals."
Stamp Approvals Notes and Notices is the proper topic under which to "Post a 14-day classified ad about stamps or philatelic items you are selling in approval books. "
Ian - I had one of mine in the wrong category and have corrected the oversight. That’s what I get for posting before the coffee kicks in. Thanks for the head’s up.
Any one can make a mistake.
It is the continous errors made placing the wrong subject in the wrong topic that ticks me off.
Where are the moderators?
In a thread in another topic it reveals that some folkies read all or most of the posts. Why are the posts in the wrong place not moved if we assume that at least one moderator is reading the majority if not all the posts?
I read all the posts, or almost all, but I rarely notice which category they are in. Most of us are probably the same, we look at the subject!

Ian, I wasn't implying the topics aren't important, I'm just saying some of us probably don't notice. I know some readers read by topic.
As a frequent poster to both of the approval book categories - I have noticed this issue many times in the past but it has become more apparent recently. I do not miss anything between the two because I check both all of the time. I beleive the same thing happens between other categories as well. I think the posts used to be more closley monitored in the past and they were corrected more frequently. Even the Stamp Approval & Auction classified posts are only suppose to be out there for 14 days and then they were suppose to be deleted. I manually delete my old ones but even if you look now you will see some that are older than 14 days. It just seems as it has been a little messy recently. Steve

I wasn't implying that you thought it was unimportant.
I was trying to point out that the initial poster should be careful which Topic/Sub Topic they post in.
Ian
I wasn't implying that you thought I was implying that it was unimportant! Boy, I had to think about that to get it right!!
" Boy, I had to think about that to get it right!!"
"better still have a beer"
I always thought this topic was to discuss the Approvals platform eg suggestions, errors, float ideas etc
NOT for individuals to advertise what books they are listing etc etc
There is another topic heading............Stamp Approvals Notes and Notices which in my opinion is the place for advertising ones offerings
OR
am I wrong??
