This extract from the NS archives shows he was the author of one volume
Born in Annapolis Royal, N.S. in 1914, Lloyd B. Macpherson was a professor of medicine and appointed Dean of Medicine at Dalhousie University in 1972. He was an active philatelist, contributor to the Postal History Society of Canada journal, and author of Nova Scotia Postal History, volume 1, published in 1982. He died 25 April 1988
Thanks Dave - it sounds like he died before he could get to subsequent volumes. I guess that's why they were not done. It's a shame for multiple reasons, volume I was excellent and it's sad whenever we lose a major philatelist. Thanks for your help but I really should have been able to figure that out myself. I guess my search skills are a bit lacking!!
I have a copy of Macpherson’s book – Nova Scotian Postal History Volume 1 Post Offices (1754 – 1981). He was planning a volume 2 on post marks and a volume 3 on post Confederation general Nova Scotian postal history. I’ve been doing a bit of searching trying to see if either of the other two volumes exist and haven’t had much luck. I don’t suppose anyone out there knows if they exist or maybe you have copies. I am very interested, especially in volume 2! I'm wondering if he ever got around to writing them since information is very hard to come by. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Edit: Note to moderator. Please don't shift this to the "want to buy" area. I'm mainly trying to find out if the books exist, I can't seem to find that information on line.
