Josh:
I am looking for the "Holiday Elves" United States Christmas stamps---specifically the elf sewing a Teddy Bear, on cover.

Josh,
I save covers for multiple reasons: that's how i collect modern US stamps; and if there are any other elements that make it something more, like auxiliary markings, Cinderellas, unusual rates or rates paid by the proper stamps (2- and 3-ounce forever stamps).
I save most of my Christmas covers and contents.
I have an enormous collection of on cover (and off) of 29c flag over white house, thinking some day i'd......
David,
i'll look....
I also save most everything! How do you think we have all those ancient covers? Someone saved them back then!
I have a copier paper box on top of a file cabinet. Everything goes in there. I especially like modern spray slogan cancels, junk mail and non-profit mail with correct usage of all those stamps. When the box gets full, I put it in the attic and start another. I recently pulled out an older box and found Ronald Reagan campaign literature and other interesting goodies!
Tom,
What do you do when the attic gets full?

"What do you do when the attic gets full? "
How much interest is there for very recent US covers? Example from this year's Christmas cards or junk mail.
For at least the past ten years or so, since the self adhesive stamps are hard to soak, I have been mainly saving the entire covers. However, they are starting to take up lots of space.
Basically I need to figure out which ones I'd want to save as a cover, which to snip the stamps off, or which ones there would be value to other collectors (potential sale or trade) as full covers. I'm wondering what others think or do? Ideally, I'd just save them all as as covers, but I really need to start freeing up space. My stamp room is to the point I need to keep rearranging boxes to get at stuff.
Thanks,
Josh
