Does any member have a copy of Scott's 2017 catalogue? I have a digital version ,I went to check some Swiss stamps from 1999 and according to my catalogue they didn't issue any stamps from May right through to September. I just checked Gibbon's but they do not put the issue dates in SOTW .

re: Question RE: Scott's 2017 world catalogue?

Brian, that appears to be correct.

I happen to have both the 2017 and 2021 sets, so I checked both, and there are no additional listings in the regular section between May and September 1999. (I didn't check the BOB, however.)

re: Question RE: Scott's 2017 world catalogue?

1999 isn't the only year that there are no stamps issued between May and September. Several years prior to 1999 are the same. The pro Patria stamps are issued near the end of May and the Pro Juventute are issued in the November. Having the gap between May and September allows the extra revenues gathered from the sales of Pro Patria over the summer months for the charity.
