My survey was 100 oer cent APS related.
As with Webpaper, my survey only asked about philatelic matters, including a few questions about the proposed APS/ASDA merger.
Mine went extensively into the proposed (done deal?) merger, asking my opinion and attitude about such things as the need for tighter standards for stamp dealers and whether I supported the merger.
Fascinating how perceptions can differ when I'd bet we all received the exact same survey.
Yes, individuals’ perceptions can vary significantly. However, am confident APS (actually, it’s market research “partner”) is employing multiple versions. Either intentionally or otherwise.
It is not uncommon for a self-administered survey to include “branching” based on a participant’s specific responses.
You're right that a respondent's answers will affect followup questions so all the surveys weren't each "exactly" the same.
My sense that the merger issue dominated may be because, for me, the merger questions weren't always straightforward and required some thought.
I clicked on the link in the message and got this "Link Mismatch Detected" warning:
"The link you just clicked seems to lead to another site than what the link text indicated. This is sometimes used for tracking whether you clicked the link, but it could also be a scam.
The link text indicated that the link would lead to www.surveymonkey.com, but it leads to stamps.us14.list-manage.com."
Until I hear from APS that this is a correct link, I won't go anywhere near it.

I felt the survey was a method to promote the proposed APS-ASDA merger. There was a survey for the journal in the recent past.
Who does not want ethical dealers? It crossed the line even further when it asked about the ASDA publication. I have yet to see a real tangible benefit articulated. It a just good for the hobby.
I personally find the journal not useful for beginning collectors and there is too much in house articles.

My survey was over in 8 questions. Weird.

I took the survey. My sense is that depending on your answers it may have gone down a different set of questions. SurveyMonkey then did go down a different route. They should not trust my answers. :-)
Received email yesterday inviting participation in APS survey. As a member, and frequent user of the APRL, was happy to participate.
Approx the initial one-third of the survey was APS/philatelic focused. However, the balance pertained to auto purchases and auto servicing.
Did other SOR members have similar survey experience?
Was the philatelic content simply “window dressing”?
