This stamp was in a collection I won at auction. On the surface it appears Unused. However, there appears to be a small three line indentation of some kind.....see rear pic.....just lower left of hinge mark.

Any ideas what this might represent....if anything?

Thanks

If you check the catalog for #1 it is supposed to have a mesh, it just doesn't say exactly what it is supposed to look like. No mesh would make it #15A. The other difference is the colour brown violet (1) and violet brown (15A) and the first is darker. There is also #16 which is reddish brown, only known mint, no mesh, and lists for several thousands of dollars. Good luck!

You obviously don't have a flat coat retriever. Eats everything.

Appears to be No 1. Measurements 22x22.5 as described. My dog will have to wait.

I don't have a dog, only a very spoiled diabetic cat. He's very fussy about what he eats, has to have gravy, so the stamp wouldn't appeal to him!!

Good luck! I don’t see anything disconcerting.
