The rate to Canada is $1.40. Don't know when it changed.

Thanks, ok then i guess the post office was fair...i will add a nickle stamp ! I am amazed that people have been getting my mail with $1.30 !

A new respect for the Red Hook Post Office...i had my own way for quite a while !

I wonder how much it cost to return the envelope for an additional 4c postage to be affixed to the envelope?

It's been said that when you use multiple stamps the post office won't take the time to add them all up! Probably correct.
When I've presented stuff at the counter, the clerk just looks at me and asks how much postage is there.

Did you ever think that maybe the people at the post office CAN'T add them up. I was a math teacher for 34 years and if the people you're dealing with are younger people it is very possible they can't add up the amounts without using a calculator. I'm not kidding!!

i have been mailing first class to Canada using $1.30 in postage...today this one was returned owing 4 cents...have i been getting away with something ?
