Just did a membership search. Counting you and I there are 9 members who collect US revenues. That's not a huge amount to choose from, but thanks for the warning anyway! Very few people are into revenues to your degree so we very much value your knowledge and any information really is appreciated! Thanks!
Dear Guys,
Just a thought- what do you think about reaching out to the 9 revenue folk to make sure they know about each other?
Dan
All you really have to do is go into the "Member's Information" and do a search. I've done it for several areas I collect just to see what the numbers are. For example only 8 of us collect Poland whereas 12 collect Russia if you count the person who collects only Russian stationary. I haven't the nerve to check US or Canada. I wonder if any one of you real "nerds" out there could write a program to calculate the numbers for each country that is listed in the interests. Might be fun to know. There were only 3 for Latvia and 2 for Lithuania - not very popular! But by just checking individually Bulgaria would not be included with those who specify the Balkans, if anyone does (actually no one does)!. This would make a very interesting study but I think only IAN would have the patience to do it individually!
Harvey, I agree with your good suggestions about how to get folks together who have a similar collecting interest. Because of your suggestions, how would you like to head up a group to do exactly what you are suggesting? I'd be happy to assist, but my computer skills are woefully inadequate to do much else. What do you think?
Dan
If I was going to do this I would have to do it individually by country. I used to teach computer courses in the 1980's and 90's, that was the last time my skills were current! There must be a programmer among our renowned group at the top who could dash off a program and do this in an hour or so. It would take me a week to do it the way I would have to. What do you say? Any takers?
So if I am reading this correctly, you would be willing to chair an effort to increase interaction with our members around their special interests. If this is correct, I'd be happy to present this to the MT for their input. (I'm assuming that they might not be automatically catching all conversations.)

I think it does make sense, and I'll ask the MT to check in on our discussion for any input they may wish to offer. I personally like the ideas being kicked around.

I noticed on Ebay, there is a First Series Revenue said to be a double transfer, it is nothing but a dry print. The seller is asking a few hundred dollars for a dry print and not a double transfer.
Hope nobody on StampoRama gets burned.
