I came across this albino embossed envelope while looking through a box of stamped envelopes. I understand it happens when two or more blank envelopes are accidently placed in the inked die at one time--only the top envelope will receive the color. According to Scotts, it is a printing error and not particularly rare or valuable but I thought it was interesting. I had come across it several times and just thought it was a blank envelope but this time my finger felt the design and turning to the angle of the light, the image became clear.
