re: @295 with Invert #1?

I should have added arrows PUPs and text so everyone could see the inverted #1!

The inverted is located in the corner margin and located just above the two inverted 2s, also locate the perfs which almost cuts the inverted #1.

Next time I will add PUPs arrows and text to help locate it.

I'm curious what the inverted "C2" or "2C" stands for! Is it just "2 cents"?

Yes, but why it's inverted while everything else is upright baffles me. I looked in the Durland catalog to see if they said anything about it, but no dice.

It's my understanding the engraved printing plate when you look at it is reversed. The 2C in Red and Black would be in the positive reading orientation on the printing plate. All this was supposed to prevent printed sheets to have inverted train. Of course this did not work out in all cases.

Now what about the invert "1", wonder what this number is for?
