All of the overprints can be found with a misplaced overprint, but the 2½d seems to be the most popular. This is the one I like best.
Hi Dave
That misplaced overprint is a beauty.

Hi Franz.
Unfortunately I do not own one at the moment, Your stamp definitely has the misplaced surcharge. The ACSC recognises a misplaced surcharge if the surcharge is misplaced at least 3mm. Even though the ACSC will not recognise any misplacement lesser than 3mm, your stamp definitely does have the misplaced surcharge.

My 2½d misplaced overprint. I have the 3½d misplaced as well, which is unlisted. I've been meaning to send it Geoff Kellow for inclusion in the future editions. When I find it, I'll add it to the thread for good measure.
I was going to buy a 2½d stamp that showed the misplaced surcharge in the centre of the stamp, it was well centred and in MUH condition, I was only a few minutes late, haven't seen one like it since, hopefully that will change.
Hi Dave & Rob
Dave Love your misplaced overprints especially the 5d one.
Rob, Commiserations on missing out on the misplaced stamp. I bet you were kicking yourself over that one.
I am re-examining all my stamps, you never know what is hiding out there.
I am also checking the Queen mother stamps in case one of them has a reversed C in the watermark but it is going to be a long job.
I have a box of decimals that some-one gave me, and there are hundreds of stamps in there as well, but I will have to invest in the decimal ACSC catalogues.
Regards
Franz
Hi Franz
It was frustrating to lose that stamp, it was 3 years ago and haven't seen another since.

Mised opportunities, whether stamps, opportunities, ferryboats or potential
spouses, always hurt the most. If missed stamps only had the aerodynamics
of a boomerang, the world would be a happier place.
I think that is Confucian.
Hi to all
This stamp is common enough, but I have many copies that show a progression of the misplacing of the surcharge, but the one I have illustrated is the best one that I have found so far.
Unfortunately they are all used.

Franz
