In SG it is #41 or 41a (laid paper) 12 November 1931 - 47. Hope that helps
To clarify, Hyderabad.
If you’re still unable to identify using Scott, can provide listing details from Stanley Gibbons.
It is Scott 39 (or 39a if laid paper).
Yup, there it is, illustration right next to another stamp that I identified, just 5 minutes before. Had cataract surgery, but evidently still need glasses.
Pride myself on being able to research stamps and part of the research process is being able to ask questions from a great group of individuals on this site. Many thanks guys.
By the way, I have 2 copies of Scott 39, or SG 41 (the one pictured) and 2 copies of Scott 39a or SG 41a on laid paper if any one is interested. Free to the first to respond via SOR message.
And thanks for the clarification on the spelling. That was not one of my greatest subjects. But in my defense, the P an D keys sort of look alike.
Mel, did you not recommend cataract surgery to me?
Mike,
Sure did and I still do. With this stamp, I saw it, but evidently my brain was not fast enough to realize that what I saw is what I was looking for.
Seriously, after surgery everything is so much clearer and brighter. Highly recommended.
Hey Mel. I missed your “Hyperabad” typo. Thought you meant “Hyper&bad” which, knowing you, made total sense as a self-descriptor. Funny little things, eh?
Dave
Dave, you're incorrigible!
Believe the stamp is from Hyperabad, but can not find in Scott. Any help appreciated. Yes the stamp is black and white.
