Hi Folks,

As I build my pre-UPU Caribbean colonies collection, I encounter stamp ID dilemmas.
The first one is a trio of St Helena stamps.

Reverse, in watermark fluid:

Stamp on the L is easy - it's Scott #5, having 14x12.5 perforations and the Crown and CC watermark.
Other two stamps are toughies. They're both perfed 14x14. But, from watermarks, I can't tell if they're Scott #6 or Scott #7. Color is not much help, either. Looks like they're both margin copies, due to the horizontal watermarked line on both. On the stamp on the R, it looks like a partial "N" above the line. Part of RAWSON?

Are there any differences in the shape of the crown in the CC vs CA watermarks?

Look forward to your opinions.

Thanks,
-Paul

Hello Paul

I cannot answer all of your ID questions, but I think the partial "N" above the line is from the word "CROWN." See picture below, even though this is a pic for the Watermark CA British sheet layout, your watermark sheet layout would have similar wording on the sides and down the center.
