are you saying that folks in the FP have access to all those postal services? or are those ratings from some other source?
David
I don't know who conducted this survey but my own experience tells me that Denmark should be on the top five as the best, and India on the bottom five as the worst.
maybe a less open-ended question is better:
can you describe the research you conducted that reached the conclusios you list?
Amsd - Statista & Universal Postal Union conduct the research of postal services of 170 countries through ranking with a survey from the public. Yes, we've access to postal offices globally, but there are certain country we avoid........... 2 years ago, we wanted to purchase an item from an American company, but didn't because unreliability of USPS. At the end, we purchased an exact item from Liechtenstein. It's more expensive, but Liechtensteinische Post AG is very reliable with superior handing record (No damage).
.
.
StampCollector - Denmark, Luxembourg & Liechtenstein have excellent postal service. They always scored 100% from us. They're aren't on top five list maybe it's because they're small nations & few people do business with them. We do business with Denmark because of their excellent stamp supplies. We do business with Luxembourg & Liechtenstein because of their extremely high quality stamp albums.
.
.
Everyone: It's wise to avoid countries that have poor postal service with bad handling record. If you lived in a country that has terrible postal service, then you might want to consider a private firm that can guaranteed your delivery - safely.

ah, so the research wasn't conducted by you; you're merely reporting it. And you aren't using other postal services, except either as the service FROM that country or TO that country.
I misunderstood completely.
Glad I asked.
And I wish I didn't see the awful drop off in service in the US as clearly as the world does.
USPS in America should be abolish long time ago. It'll takes me 10 hours to explain, but I won't waste my time explaining this uncaring USPS. Their problems are so deep that it's beyond repair. Not only USPS is hurting the people, but it's also hurting stamp buyers & sellers:
.
* Mails arrived late.
* Packages arrived in damage condition.
* Packages/mails stolen or missing.
USPS also has a long history of poor customer service. Lack of communication is the root of the problem:
* No E-mail reply.
* No phone answered.
* No lost/search follow up.
.
Numerous of reforms were attempted, but no result. Poor customer service, unreliable delivery, increasing postage with budget deficit every year = Failure. It's better to abolish USPS & be replace by private firms. It'll be expensive, but most American are willing to pay more for excellent service & speedy delivery with guaranteed satisfaction or else, reimburse 100% with no questions ask.

Last Thursday, I ordered my annual stamp album update and some other items from a company in Oceanside, California. It was mailed in Oceanside that afternoon and arrived here in Sebring, Florida at 10 A.M. on Saturday! Meanwhile, I’m having mail forwarded to a new address. Somehow, this adds 3-5 days for local mail delivery and mail still gets delivered to the old address once per week. Even so, I really don’t want the USPS abolished, just fixed. It can be done. I know a lot of good people who work there.

That's interesting.
In my experience, prior to the current USPS leadership when everything changed, the USPS was a model of efficciency and security. Nothing was ever lost or stolen, and things arrived quickly.
I even have positive experiences with customer service.
Were your negative customer service experiences about BUYING stamps or about the status of a package?
David
I believe many of the USPS issues are local and not surprising given the size of the US and the number of post offices across the US. Per the USPS, there are 31,247 Postal Service-managed retail offices. The improvement of local service is therefore important. We have always heard about mail issues in the Chicago area.
For example, when I lived in north Raleigh. the local post office was crowded and they never did seem to staff on demand. When one clerk arrived another left even though there was an unused position. It also had a lot of business customers so meter updates, large mailings, etc.
I find that when the USPS imposed security rules for anything over 13 oz, this forced one to deal with the post office since you not just drop it off.
A research was conducted for best postal service in the world for 2021. Top 5 postal services:
.
1. Switzerland (100%)
2. Germany (93%)
3. Austria (91%)
4. Japan (90%)
5. France (88%)
.
.
Swiss Post. We used the Swiss Post many times, it's a little expensive, but their customer service is 5 stars & their delivery is always on time. They never lost any of our mails & packages.
.
Germany's Deutsche Post is a favorite to many of our members because of their reliability. Delivery & Receiving packages from Deutsche Post is perfect. Nobody ever complaints or dissatisfy.
.
Austria's Österreichische Post is my favorite due to their speedy delivery without ever losing our packages, not even once in 14 years. However, their fees are expensive compared to others.
.
Japan Post Co. should be #1 if it weren't for expensive fees. They've developed a perfect system sorting out all incoming mails. 100% reliability. We use Japan Post whenever we have expensive items for delivery. Their prompt attention with super speed delivery is unbelievable !!
.
France's La Poste is super. Our stamp club used them very often. 50% of our packages were delivered by La Poste. They handled packages with extra care. Their Registration Letter Service is world famous with 100% accuracy.
.
.
.
Note: According to complaints & lawsuits, the worst postal services: Italy, USA, Brazil, Peru, Russia, Canada & China.
