These remind me of the "Hialeah" forgeries which, if I remember correctly, were produced in Florida around 2000 and sold on eBay.
There were created on computer and printed on thick paper that looked like this.
Many of those were printed to produce imperforate blocks in unrealistic layouts, e.g. blocks of German colonies mark values, GRI overprints etc.

Thanks for the info. I looked closer at the sheets and they seem to be all (or almost all) printed on diagonally laid paper similar to some papers that envelopes were printed on. Also the printing does not have any of the dot pattern usually associated with printers..

I recently came across a number of these sheets. They appear to be un-issued denominations of the 1880 issue. I am calling them proofs or color proofs. Most of them are printed on diagonally laid paper. Any information on what they really are? There is no mention in Scott's and an online search did not reveal much, except for singles for sale as trial color proofs. The singles look like they might be postal stationery cur-outs.
