The attached pic is a stamp per Stanley Gibbons that has three color possibilities:
1) Dull Purple
2) Violet
3) Red Purple

Any guesses? Frankly, I am stumped! Although, I think least likely is Red Purple.

Since you invite guesses, I'll offer mine, with the often acknowledged disclaimer that colour on a scanned image shared across computers may not reflect the actual colour of the stamp. I have a Stanley Gibbons Colour Guide, and based upon it I would guess your stamp is dull purple.
