Good move. Now for some other stamp websites that are useful. Richard Frajol's site. U.S. oriented but all areas are discussed, lots of exhibits, browse the cover census, articles and books for free download. https://www.rfrajola.com/
Another site is The Stamp Community Forum. https://www.stampcommunity.org/
Another site is Stamp Smarter, lots of features mostly U.S. oriented. Great reference site. https://stampsmarter.org/index.html
These sites are free.
Be forwarned, these sites as well Stamporama all have rules.

Deleting the thread doesn't help anyone looking for the best place to be, as the comparisons have now gone to the ether. Why do people run so far from "controversy" at the first available opportunity??

To restate the comment from David...
Should anyone wish to begin another thread about the usefulness of other fora, please do. You may even include their limitations, if appropriate.
I will add...One can make critical comments without the personal attacks on specific individuals.
No names, no pack drill. The website he stole was, and I quote from him to me in private correspondence, from his "best friend in the philatelic world". The same best friend whose funeral he couldn't attend as he had yet another of his interminable free holidays to go on.
If we're going to warn sellers of dodgy buyers and vice versa, surely we who know should warn collectors of people like this without fear or favour?
"If we're going to warn sellers of dodgy buyers and vice versa, surely we who know should warn collectors of people like this without fear or favour?"
If SOR is reluctant to post publicly names, may I suggest that discussion authors offer to do it in private messages, and state so in the body of their post
I for one would like to know what bad experiences other have had.

As one of the board's moderators, I am deleting the thread.
I believe it devolved into more personal discussion, and there was little of useful information that will be lost by my doing so. I also want to discourage any ad hominem attacks. There's nothing to be gained.

The MT had begun discussing this, but hadn't reached a conclusion. When I read the concerns, and then the thread, I decided to act, independently, as a moderator. My apologies to any who i have offended or inconvenienced by this decision.
