Philb......your stamp has a Multiple Crown CA Watermark and is a Die I, so from the earlier issue.
You need to determine the shade of green paper. Can you make a scan of the back ? Then you can use your knowledge and good old 'process of elimination' !!

Hello Mike i could make a scan.i doubt if i could determine the shade of green. phil
Agree. At a minimum we need to see the back face of the stamp. To discern btwn the three options.
Ok, fair enough...since you fellows asked to see the back of the stamp i removed him from its mount..here tis !
It looks like a white back. Would that be a correct assumption Philb ?
If so then it is a SG#212. I don't have Scott for these but the year of issue is 1913 (November). That should solve the puzzle.
But it might be more clear if the scan was on a white background as in your first image. I was trying to determine if the margins of the stamp are the same as the back. It would be easier to tell if scanned on a white background.
If the back is not white then we continue.......
Info courtesy of Scott Catalogue:
167: green (ft and back)
167a: olive back
167b: emerald back
167c: Die II
Mike, i can not call it white i will pull the stamp and use a black backround
it looks like a greenish tinge to me..i don't want to risk any wear and tear taking it out again.
Exorcist green
i thought it was more like moonlight !
every the marketeer, Phil
i liked the flogging job..but nothing lasts forever !
Philb, it's likely yours is a SG#212a issued in 1915. Without actually holding it in my hand I cannot tell otherwise or be more specific.
But anyway, a nice stamp.
