Scott lists a three-stamp set: 252 - 254.

Scott includes a footnote re two addtl three-stamp sets.

One is an air mail overprint. The other features new dates.

Am seeking (nin-Scott) catalogue numbers for these two “addtl” sets.

Thank you.

Gibbons states:

"It is believed these two overprinted issues were made in the USA and Saudi Arabian postal authorities have denounced them as fakes."

So it's not likely that any major catalog will list them.

Thanks, Ralph. Nice presentation of the “full set”.

Pete, can’t tell you given I do not read Arabic. However, Ralph’s posting clearly illustrates the obliteration.

The wording seems to be years "1962-" then Google Translate loses it.

The Moslem year 1381 which is 1962 (also written in Arabic)
The O/P are 1382 and 1962 One of the O/P is in Latin characters as you can see, while the other one is in Arabic.

Curiously Moslem year 1381 corresponds to June 15 1961 to June 4 1962.

So was the o/p a date related correction, or in error? According to Scott the stamps were issued on May 7 1962, so Moslem year 1381.
