Hi Franz
I can see the vertical line on the thin paper (1937); it may have been caused by a plate defect, very nice variety. The bottom block is thick paper (1948). They both have W.C.G. McCracken (William Clifford Gordon) imprints. Great blocks.

Hi Rob,
Always appreciate your comments. Not a bad buy for $2

Hi Franz
The thin paper block of 4 was catalogued at $50 MUH and $30 MLH in the 2015 ACSC edition, in the 2019 edition a block of 4 is now catalogued at $75 MUH and $50 MLH.
The thick paper block of 4 was catalogued at $75 MUH and $50 MLH in the 2015 ACSC edition, for some unknown reason it isn't listed in the 2019 edition (most likely one of the entries that were forgotten to be added),
I'd say you did pretty well for $2.
Rob
Hi Rob,
I can imagine the thickness of the ACSC volumes if every variety you have is listed. But it would be well worth the effort, and a very important reference tool.
One question, what is the thickness of the 10 shilling to two pounds of the COA to qualify as thin paper. On some of mine I can see the pattern from the back of the stamps.
Regards
Franz
Hi Franz
Here is a certificate for one of the £2 thin paper C of A.
It mentions that the thickness is the same as the 5/- thin paper (0.085mm).
I haven't measured the 10/- as the thin paper only applies to the 5/-, £1 and £2 stamps.
Rob
Hi Rob
Thanks for that.
I will examine my two pound COA and see if any may be thin paper.
Who knows what is waiting for me to find.
Franz
Hi to all
These two items were among my recent purchases.
The block of four has a nice hair line variety just above the first globe.
Regards
Franz
