Difficult to tell from the images but the top one appears slightly off on the 8th whole dot from the left.
The bottom one seems off from the 3rd whole dot from left.
If you put the perf teeth over the dots, they should cover all of them. Moving the stamp sideways will show you if it is correct or not.
As you are aware they come with 11.5 and 12 perfs.
Edit to add:- turn the stamps over so that the image is not distracting the eyes.
Thanks I am still wondering if it is 12.5 oe 11.5
As far as I can see from the catalogue it only came as 11.5 or 12, never 12.5.
Edit My mistake, 11.5 or 12.5, think I'd better get new glasses! They could be both as you have two different stamps.
SG lists the stamp as either SG 555A (perf 12½) or SG 555B (perf 11½) with SG 555B having a very much higher price.
SG usually rounds its perf measurements to the nearest half and would round 12¼ up to 12½.
Thanks It was interesting One more question Why are these Indonesian stamps listed under Ned Indies
What is now Indonesia was once a Dutch outpost and the stamps were issued by the Dutch who basically ran the country. See here for History https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesia
The second of your scans shows a stamp used before the revolution, the first of your images shows a stamp used after the revolution (hence the overprint RIS) but before issue of stamps for the new independence.
Scott shows the overprinted one under Indonesia but catalogue reference is for the former colony image, as it is the same stamp.
In the SG catalogue the numbers run on from Netherlands Indies straight on to Indonesia.
The colony was renamed "Indonesia" before independence and as a result the unoverprinted stamp here is listed by SG under both Netherlands Indies and Indonesia.
The stamp with the RIS (Republik Indonesia Serikat = Republic of the United States of Indonesia) overprint is only listed under Indonesia, as SG 586 (assuming it's perf 11½) or SG 586b (if perf 12½) but with no meaningful price difference this time.
Are these 2 stamps situated right fo their perfs
