" ... There's a sucker born every minute! ..."
And two to scam him.
Just think, the USA, UK, Canada and Australia together
approach 500,000,000 people. Now somewhere among that
throng there simply has to be a willing fool, in fact,
quite a few of them. Actually judging from a survey of
our current joint political leaderships, a very large
number, indeed.
All the seller needs is one or two of them to be able
to read above the sixth grade level and he has a fish
to fry.
Harvey. Tell the guy that I have the other bisected half of that stamp. I'm willing to sell it to him for $300. He'd be able to double his money. I'll give you a 10% finder's fee if he takes it.
Thanks, Dave.
Too late Dave, I think I'll tell him that I can provide him with as many bisects as he wants. I've got a very substantial Canadian collection of potential bisects, if the price is right!!
Harvey asked, "Does this seller actually think anyone would be tempted to buy something like this?"
Answer: Yes

I think I've brought this up before with another stamp. There is a seller on E-Bay who is trying to sell a bisect of NS#7 for $600. It isn't tied to a cover or piece, it is just half a stamp! Does this seller actually think anyone would be tempted to buy something like this? To me, unless it is tied to paper by a post mark, it is just half of a stamp. If it was for real the price would be one Hell of a bargain, but as it is it has very little value - in my humble opinion! Any comments?
