Our good friends at NY Stamps. They sell a ton of stuff on eBay, the home of two photos and no description, "look at the photos good". I got a few disappointments from them..
I noticed they had raised their shipping costs a while back. It no doubt affected their business as they went to free shipping like their closest competitors. And no doubt with the volume they do, it's cheaper to pay for an occasional lost shipment than all those postal fees!
I like dealing with their competitor CK stamps better. They actually describe faults.
I have purchased from NY Stamps once in a while. I got burned on a couple of items by looking at the photos. I no longer do business with them. I do business with CK stamps on occasion.
Yeah, Tom, I concur.
Over the years, I've had to return a couple of items to nystamps that did not match the description. No questions asked, full and immediate refund. And, many items are faulty. I am totally averse to paper faults (tears, thins, etc.) regardless of how cheap it is.
I've kind of soured on nystamps, because the offerings seem to be swamped by apparent Ebay newbies, pecking up the bids incessantly, until they're no longer attractive to bid on for me. By the same token, can you imagine a better environment in which to disperse a collection? I can't. I wonder if they'd entertain the idea of a contract based on percentage of realized price...
I have been able to bottom-feed a few items per week, but I'm kind of laying off now, afraid of their demonstrably inexperienced shipper.

Received this item yesterday:
That address label is applied with cellophane tape. So, the ink from the barcode printer didn't stick. Looks like there were repeated attempts to print the bar code. That explains the 5 week shipping time. Took that long for someone who can read to route it by hand.
This seller is recently divorced from Ebay shipping services, and apparently ran off with a private shipper with scant experience. Now, they offer free shipping, but no tracking. I'd rather have their formerly stellar shipping performance and pay the $2 for a tracking number.
I sent this scan to seller. Maybe they can use it to educate their shipper.
