The following is a change to the terms and conditions just announced. There are others and presumably anyone with an account will get a notification.
Effective: November 20, 2021

" We are introducing an annual account inactivity fee of $20 CAD."

Reckon that could make them a bit of money from folks that have forgotten they have an account or for whatever other reason are unable or discontinue using same.

If you have a linked bank account I would quickly unlink it ,if you have no money in your Paypal account they can't get $20.00 but if your bank account is linked they can theoretically keep taking it out?

The web page does not say, but I would assume after 1 year of no activity.

Just noted that this applies to PayPal Canada, not sure on anywhere else.

I sent a message to PayPal asking how long the account has to be inactive.

I sent and received a message from PayPal regarding the $20 inactivity fee for Canadians. The fee will only be applied if your account is inactive for one year.

That seems fair.

The $20 charge seems to be only Canada. I received an email yesterday with changes in USA...
