If you select "End Auction", ebay will give you two choices on the next screen. I don't remember the exact prompt, but it boils down to
1) cancel all bids and end auction (to be used if there is actually a problem with the lot)
2) accept bids and sell to the highest bidder
Obviously, you want the latter choice. That will end the auction as a sale.

I am selling two Gibbons Commonwealth albums on Ebay, a buyer contacted me asking if I could reprice and so I did, cancelled the two lots then combined into one lot. Problem is.. I failed to allow offers on the original too and failed to do that now, so his offer went down as a bid. It now can be overridden. He bid $450 for both so I doubt there is any harm in waiting until next week for this to close, he seems OK with that.
There seems to be no way of cancelling an existing auction offering and reoffering as a BIN price, is there? I will tell him to pad his offer a bit next week then refund via Paypal to restore the $450 amount. Advice welcome.
