I have a question that either requires a major expert or someone with better reference books than I have. There are two Black Points in Nova Scotia, one just outside of Liverpool (my home town) and one outside Halifax (where I live now). I have several for the one I live in now that both are written in a circle Black Point (Hal). I have yet to find one from the one outside Liverpool, it was an older Black community that changed its name a long time ago to Mersey Point. The book I own shows a few post marks but mainly just lists all early Canadian post offices. It acknowledges both communities had post offices and gives no idea what the post marks are like. I have lately seen a Black Point NS cover that just says Black Point. Does anyone out there have a reference book that will say which Black Point this is? I always assumed the one in Liverpool would say Black Point (Liv.) or Black Point (Queens) for Queens County. Can anyone help me? I think there is a reference book that gives all post offices and their post marks, but I could be wrong! This is a very specific question!!

Nova Scotia Postal History Volume 1 by MacPherson is a reference. I will send you a scan of the Queens Blackpoint
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
Two clues ...All Blackpoint Queens postmarks would be before 1923 and the name change .Also the Blackpoint (QUEENS) has Queens in brackets.
I sent a scan of my copies to your email. Let me know if you receive them

Hi Cheryl
I thought you'd get back to me on this. I sent you a link to the item by e-mail. It definitely has nothing in brackets and the date is 1899 - very odd! Thanks for sending me the scan of the Black Point covers. If I win this item I will give it to you for your collection, for me it is a novelty, it really should be in a collection of post marks.
