1948 Jordanian Occupation of Palestine, 3m Carmine-Pink, Overprint double. SG#P4a
Thank you very much for this valuable info.

Oh yes, it's not a surcharge. It's an overprint on a Transjordan stamp for use elsewhere. An interesting series as are all Middle East items from this era.

The series from Transjordan. In spite of some low cat values, don't be fooled. Many are very hard to find.

Thank you Rrraphy for this presentation, as per the stamps shown the surchage is horizontal linear, however the one I am posting is curved, can this curved double surcharge forgerie or contrefeit?.
I don't know Abd.., but I don't like the Arabic script and I would be quite suspicious.
On the other hand this is not an expensive stamp even as a double o/p. There are a lot of double o/p and inverted o/p which certainly do not warrant the 10x or more price premium requested in various auctions. I would not myself pay more than 5x the regular value, but it is a personal choice. Scott gives no guidance on pricing double and inverted o/p
Given the abundance of similar stamps, I would conservatively treat it as a counterfeit, if I was looking to buy it. rrr....
PS: currently Hipstamp has 2 double o/p on sale. I like the first one if I had to chose. (and the second one could well be counterfeit)
Thanks a lot my friend it is so much valuable infos
