Some of you may get complimentary copies of The American Stamp Collector and Dealer. I just read the April issue and i think the articles are better than those in The American Philatelist. Quite a few articles on postal history...i really enjoyed the article about mail back and forth to Arizona territory during the civil war. People demanded to send and receive mail despite Confederate and Indian territory.

I'm with Phil - a very interesting article!

And in that article was a cover sent to nearby Grand Rapids, Michigan - the city I grew up in!


I have had a subscription to the ASC&D for years now and Phil is absolutely right;

most issues are better than the APS monthly.
