Hi,
I can help you with information about this stamp issued for use in France (valid for your "Algeria" overprint stamp)
I don't have a catalog for "Levant".
Thank you very much !!

Type I has one line in the drapery which it does and not 2. Also the wing is rounded and doesn't touch the frame. I checked for type 2 and its not possible. Line in front of the foot is straight and no break in the line in front of the toe. Unused s macro lens to get close up so it won't let me import the photos. Cut them 4 times. If you'd like them emailed please let me know.
It's a IA. But not sure it's an H or the other one that says blue - green. H said green on yellow background and when I used my macro lens to get close ups it did appear yellowish. But could have also been the light source.
A professional will have to determine color properly. But it looks awefully blue to me. And now I'm comfortable enough to get it expertized.
Thanks Gerome for that valuable resource .
Take care all.
And Gerome I'm assuming the numbers listed with regards to the value is French Francs. Not US dollars..lol.
Don't be concerned with focus so much just color. Hence French Levant color variations.
Ok that's a little better 3 examples green, the stamp I have and aquamarine. It's almost blue grey but I'm thinking it's gonna come back blue green, sure is subjective...green on yellow background sounds good. Maybe that's why it's blue. And truthfully the paper on back looks yellow but it wasn't soaked property and still has some paper covering the majority of the back. But what I can see it looks yellow.
Or yellow ish .
Catalogue Yvert-Tellier 2018 edition.
Values are in Euro.

Well I was over there 31 years ago and the Wall was coming down between East and West Germany. Pink Floyd played in Berlin. And did you know a size Large in Europe is like a small here. Lol. I paid alot of money for that t-shirt too. And I remember it was 8 french francs to the US dollar. And about 1.90 British Sterling to the US dollar if I recall correctly. Sure wish you all would get it straight and keep it.
I'm thinking this looks Prussian blue and not green like it's suppose to be. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Top goes to left bottom to the right
I need to add a little light but I think it's still noticeable.
There I added one. Hopefully you can see now. But when you hold the two together it's pretty easy to see the difference. Curious if it says anything in a specialized catalogue. I don't have one. Thanks.
And yes one says Levant and one says Postes. But it shouldn't matter I've compared several of the Levant online as well.
Surely I'm not the only person to find one of these.
Last one is out of focus but it may help .
Lol two posts down someone was curious about the two 1c french varieties. Lol. Yes slate and grey. Saw those.
But sure didn't see any of these. But doesn't mean they dont exist.
