Hi to all

Just showing this as an oddity.

It was in a collection of stamps from the local opp shop

My thought it probably came in contact with a wet stamp during the printing process.

It shows red through part of the wing, on the B of the artists name.

All comments appreciated.

re: FLAME ROBIN COLOUR BLEED OR CONTACT WITH WET STAMP

Hi Horamakhet

I can't say what actually caused it, but it seems to have come from something lying on top of the stamp and moisture caused the ink from the top item to leak onto the stamp below, the cover would have given a better idea as to the source of the problem.

I noticed the cancellation has been smudged, most likely from moisture, which may indicate that the course was moisture related.
