I'm a little confused about these two stamps since I have no indication on my Yvert catalog
is this alteration or color variety

There are two different sizes in the designs for this stamp.

Scott #964 is 22mm x 18mm, printed 1951 (looks like the stamp on the right is this one)

Scott #964a is 21mm x 17mm, printed 1958 (looks like the stamp on the left is this one)

You'll have to measure them to verify. They have minimal value.
