You can't rely on a monitor to provide the means to determine color shades.
I certainly agree with you Michael! But I certainly didn't expect the stamp to vary depending on where it was on the screen. I found this forum discussion that, if you go down a couple posts, the colours are shown very well. Of course it still doesn't help me ID the stamp I'm interested in.

Could someone explain to me again how to make this link active. Keep it real basic for me, please. Of course all I would do is highlight it and then right click - works fine!

I was checking out a copy of Scott's A29 which could be US #70 (red lilac), 78 (lilac), 99 (gray lilac) or 109 (deep lilac). I have the first two, not the last two - very expensive!!! The one online appears to be green which is not possible. Then I noticed something very strange and am not sure if it is my imagination. As I scroll up and down the screen moving the stamp it seems to be changing colour from green at the top to a sort of "lilaccy" type colour at the bottom. Is there something wrong with my screen or has anyone else ever noticed colour changes according to where the stamp is on the screen? I feel like this sort of thing should not be possible. Am I losing it?
