When going through my covers I found a cover from 1970 of an inaugural run by MK-7 hovercraft from New York to Montreal . It has dual franking, and a pilot`s signature. Now for the question.
Was there ever any true usage of a Hovercraft for mail delivery between Canada and the US?
I know Hovercraft are used in Alaska, in the Islands off GB and also in Australia. but I can`t seem to find any specific info to document the delivery of mail between the US and Canada.

I have an album of miscellaneous covers I keep for no other reason than they are interesting curiosities to me.
This is one of them;
It's from the same year as yours....I suspect there are other similarities?
I know nothing about its history.

Very similar to my cover...but I can`t seem to find out who or what was behind the covers ....

The covers are listed in the American Airmail Catalog Vol 6 - Airmails of Canada and Newfoundland:
"7001 : 1970, March 9-13 — Ottawa - New York. Inaugural hovercraft flight for "Interpex" in a Roland BER 20911. Some covers were franked and cancelled in Ottawa and New York on a 3-part folded card with 4-line boxed cachet in blue. Ottawa-New York, March 9-13
10.00"
Here is the 3-part folded cover referenced (currently offered on ebay: item # 373027785789 ) , as well as a descriptive insert:
And finally, from my "Sold Database" here is a 1983 cover Vancouver to Nanaimo.

Thankyou Roy. I`ll check out the website . I believe that the cover that I have was designed for the International Stamp Show Station. It has dual cancels and stamps
