Brazil is one of the 60+ nations that has no flight/carrier during May. I had the same problem where my package wasn't able to delivered & it sit in the post office warehouse for 3 months waiting for flight/carrier.
Today, there are dozens of nations that still have no flights int. Be advice not to sell or buy stamps on those nations.
Here's a list of those nations listed by the United States Postal (USPS):

Customers: please refrain from mailing items addressed to the countries listed here, until further notice.
These service disruptions affect Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
Unless otherwise noted, service suspensions to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
Shouldn't we get credits with Canada Post in these situations?
Fee was paid, service was not provided.
P.S. Just saw what it actually says: Letter can be mailed again with no additional charge.
Notice the label. When the suspension is over, you can simply repost it with no additional postage.

Hi Roy,
I just saw that too!
" .... I am also unsure why the post office accepts
these letters if they know service to the country is
discontinued. ...."
You are probably better off than hoping some geographically
challenged window clerk, trying to figure out if "British
Columbia" is a province of "Columbia," refuses to accept an
envelope.
Or just where this "New MEXICO" addressed envelope in English fits into
the scheme of things.
and sometimes it works the other way .
..A cover I purchased from Cyprus could not be mailed to Canada. I had to have it mailed to the UK where my friend forwarded it on to me with a fresh envelope and UK stamps. But it did arrive in a two week time frame to Canada.
I too am holding envelopes for a member in Brazil who were returned to me by Canada Post.
Canada Post will not accept mailings from Canada to many countries.

My suggestion to members who live in countries where mail is not being accepted from a member's country who you are anticipating purchasing stamps from is that you refrain from bidding until such time as mail service returns to normal.
Canada Post has removed many countries from their International Mail Service Suspension list.

Time to mail the letter again.
I have the feeling that I am only having mail delivery in my super mail box 2 or 3 times a week. Does anyone else suspect the same thing?
"I have the feeling that I am only having mail delivery in my super mail box 2 or 3 times a week"
Can not comment on others, but I purchased 14 items from the Netherlands on August 1, and they arrived today, August 13. Not bad since I was informed that expected arrival date was between 1 and 15 September.
Mailed an envelope to Australia 20 July and it arrived on 12 August. Still not bad since I only put 70 cents worth of stamps on the envelope. Expected to receive back for insufficient postage, but some how it went through.
Mel
And there is always some exception to the general rule of thumb.
I have become used to small parcels from England and Scotland to
Texas taking a long two to three weeks. Two parcels from a
collection I've been buying were mailed from the same post office,
the same day, in Scotland, around August first and one arrived in
a week, the second two days later.
Whoda thunk that.
and, in the US, the new Trump-appointed PMG is taking action to slow the mail; everything from removing drop boxes to dismantling sorting machines to making new rules about overtime. Trump, unapologetically against the USPS and for its privatization or demise, is refusing to fund any postal shortfalls.
Early August I sent a parcel (19 pounds) from France to the US West Coast. It arrived in five days. This includes going thru customs. Great. This week I received a StampoRama mailing paid August 9, sent August 10, and received August 14. That's what we can name an efficient mail system. Michel
I guess we can agree that mail delivery is often all
over the chart, probably due to vagaries we can not
always imagine.
Our postal system predates the nation and is a function
of our Constitutional government. Some times some suggest
it could, or should, be run like a functioning business
and show a profit, which might be refreshing, just like
the local police and fire departments do.
Only a few years ago the USPD handled, and in almost all
cases delivered, some 500,000,000 pieces of mail each
business day with amazing speed and accuracy.
Quite amazing, when you think about it.
Too bad every envelope did not have a postage stamp.

My wife and I grew up in New Mexico, and have lived in British Columbia since 1973. We well know how little geography seems to be taught these days!
When we tell people we are from New Mexico, they almost invariably say, "Oh! Mexico! Great!" "No," we say, "New Mexico." More often than not we are met with a blank stare and have to say, "You know, the state between Texas and Arizona." That too often meets with blank stares.
We don't get that kind of reaction here in BC, because, well, we mostly talk to people who are fellow British Columbians. But I have no doubt if we travelled, we'd get puzzled looks.
When we lived in Ottawa, we travelled once to Boston where I was scheduled to have a physical exam prior to being discharged from the U.S. Navy. We were in a taxi when the driver asked where we were from. "We live in Ottawa," I said. "Ottawa? Where's that?"

Americans, in general, are geographically illiterate and incurious. We are provincials of the dullest sort.
I could make a joke about British Columbia being between British Honduras and British Guiana, but outside this chat room, it, too, would be met with the blankest of stares.
As I've learned, geo geokes aint for yankee blokes
"British Columbia being between British Honduras and British Guiana"
If you entered any of the two Tim Hortons stores in town you will find plenty of proof your statement above is correct. I am lost with the "British" part in all of that.
Found this cover in my mailbox today, after I had it mailed to a board member on May 16th.
And of course it showed up here exactly on the day AFTER I mailed another letter to Brazil to another board member.
Since those are CP stickers, it makes me wonder what the letter has been doing for 2 months.
I am also unsure why the post office accepts these letters if they know service to the country is discontinued.
But I am pleased with how the sticker is affixed. A few years back, they would have put it right over the stamps.
