Purchased a set of French stamps that the seller had taped to a piece of thin cardboard - directly on to the stamps. I can attest that masking tape does not come off a stamp without a fight. Ended up with parts of the stamps on masking tape. When I contacted the seller with this photo he replied that the stamps did not look like the ones he sent me.

After a few more emails he grudgingly applied a refund. He also said he wasn't a collector so this kind of thing is not his fault. Fortunately I take blood pressure meds, and the stamps are of low value.
