I don't collect this part of Canada BOB, but I do have a Unitrade Specialized for Canada. The last "U" listed is U271 in 2012, so the numbers U725 and U728 make no sense. These appear to be U3 and U8, but U8 is red, not orange. I think you need an expert, not me!
In the 2016 Unitrade Canada Specialized Catalogue, there is a postal stationery section. It is my understanding that in the most recent edition (either 2019 or 2020, I can't recall, and don't have one at hand) the postal stationery section has been dropped, and one needs to consult Webb's catalogue on postal stationery for such listings.
In any event, in the 2016 Unitrade Canada Specialized Catalogue, the illustration for item U1 appears to match your first cover, and the illustration for item U8 appears to match your second cover. Respectively, the dates for item U1 are given as 1860-1864 and for U8 as 1898. Unused copies are stated as having value of $125. for U1 and $1. for U8.

Correction: Please note Roy's comment below. It is not U1, which is a 5c envelope. It could be U4 or U6, for which there are various varieties. My apologies for not having read the catalogue correctly. JTH
Thanks, JT and Harvey.
Quite a range of value for my $4 purchases!
I've been shopping eBay for Canadian postal stationery catalogs. The 2020 Unitrade has no stationery section. The 2015 has 27 pages' worth, but it's not a Buy-It-Now listing. Wish me luck.

Sorry, it's not U1, which is a 5c issue (the Nesbitt envelopes). This is a U4 or U6 depending on the paper. The commonest version of which catalogues $3.00 unused for U4 and $1.50 for U6. There is a "rounded flap " version of U4 which catalogues $60 or $650 depending on envelope size.

I have no idea where I got U3 from, it is either U4 or U6 as Roy says. If the second one is U8 you must have very strange color reproduction. It sure looks more orange than red to me. Sometimes fading or oxidization does strange things to colors! According to my 2015 book value is only a dollar or so.
It'll be interesting to see these covers "in person."
The covers arrived. The three-cent "red" one looks as orange in real life. Thanks to a kind member who sold me a Unitrade catalog, I've declared them U6 and U8.
I bought these Canadian preprinted Victoria envelopes for a reasonable price and wonder if they are as old as they look. I don't have a specialized postal stationery catalog, so I don't know if they might be some sort of anniversary issue because the seller's description labeled them U725 and U728, which seem awfully high numbers for pre-1902.
