Hi, As I was mounting a group of stamps from Montenegro, I came across the stamp shown below...but it isn't listed in my Scott catalog. (Unless I somehow missed it) I would appreciate any information about it...when issued and for what, postage, taxes, fees, whatever? Thanks! Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy DaveImage Not Found

re: Request for Information...

It is definitely a revenue stamp and not a postage stamp.

re: Request for Information...

Hi Dave,

This was supposed to be a postage due stamp for the Montenegro government in exile after the First World War.

I believe it was a private production from Italy.

The words under the crown are the Cyrillic for "Tsrna Gora" = Black Mountain = Montenegro.

re: Request for Information...

Hi Dave,

I was pleased to see just now that the Rigastamps website is still available including the Witt Cinderella Reference Collection.

Sadly this is now a tribute site for Roger and Bonnie Riga but it's great to see that has been maintained by their family.

Here'a link to the Witt Collection and cinderellas from many countries are indexed down the left hand side:

https://cinderellas.rigastamps.com/wittcoll/collection.htm

There are seven pages on these issues (including four postage stamps in this design).

I differ on the attribution to the government in exile but it's great to see so many variations laid out so nicely.
