It is a Contribucion Federal revenue stamp, part of a 1936 series featuring Art Deco images. These revenue stamps collected a federal tax throughout the country, not just in the federal district. Mexico's Revenue Stamps, edited by Roberts, cites values of $.50 for the 5 cent stamp with its talon and $.15 without (as is yours).
egertoni, Thanks for the Information! It is an interesting stamp even if its value, as expected, is minimal. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Hi, I'm guessing that this item from Mexico is some form of revenue stamp from the Federal District. Any information would be appreciated. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
