There's the occasional stamp that is printed, by mistake obviously, on the gum side. There were a few Canadian stamps done like this, I have 460fi and to me it looks much like the original stamp with no gum. I really don't want to lick it to find out for sure. I also assume if I were to soak it the design would disappear. Check your catalog to see if yours exists like this.
What watermark is the stamp and whether upright etc?
My initial thoughts are that if the stamp has been soaked that the gum is likely to have gone from both sides.
Chances are that it is someone's attempt at a fake. Hopefully I am wrong.
Hi all , hope your all well and good.
Came across this stamp in some kiloware ,original source .
There is a glossy look feel which is consistent with gum on the back of the same stamp . Anyone know how I could check this out . I’m baffled . I just had to lick a small part and it became sticky . Any comments would be greatly appreciated . Thanks
