Are there any other naked eye varieties other than the broken hat, or are they all magnifying-glass types?
Depending on how good your eyesight is, the frame break at the lower right-hand corner of the Scott 231 stamp may meet your criterion. It was a progressive problem that grew longer over time. Ziggy can provide more info, but here is one example of the full break.

Thanks Vin, that's not a tome I'd heard of.
I have just found this The top half of this stamp doesn't look right. The 2 on the left hand side has a extra line, The G in Postage is joined, A line going through Cents?, P of Postage isn't right, C in America isn't right looks like a extra blob, Looks like a star where the line is going through. This certainly doesn't look right????
