I've been collecting Russia since about 1975, with a cut off now of 1985 - way too much stuff every year. It's a hard country to collect and up to a couple years ago I had gaps everywhere. I check E-Bay occasionally and eventually found a seller I really like. I'm not sure if I should mention his "name" but he sells mainly collections of stamps rather than individuals and normally shows all, or most, of the pages. He had a wonderful collection of Russia in the same Minkus album I use. He wanted a fairly large amount for it, I figured I needed about half so I offered half of the asking price. He accepted and I now have a really good Russia collection (many high values) and since I sold the leftovers to another person I really didn't end up paying much. I'm not sure why I posted this, maybe it just ends up being a good E-Bay story, which is rare. I've bought from this seller about a dozen times and always get great stuff.
Edit: I ran into this old post and thought I may as well give the EBay seller's name. He mostly sells collections, but occasionally good singles. I bought a really nice US #1 from him for a very fair price. I have never had a bad experience with him and is usually open to offers, if fair. Try DanTheStampMan

I guess I never actually search him from E-Bay, he sends me a weekly notice and I click on E-Bay for his auctions. But you can definitely find him through danthestampman.com
I don't really recommend him for single stamps, he mostly offers partial collections. I once bought a large "p lot" from him for some US Philippines and a couple PEI stamps and ended up getting enough Peru and Puerto Rico to eventually end up collecting those two areas along with earlier Philippines stamps. He offers some larger collections on his web site and smaller sets on E-Bay. I've bought about a dozen lots and have always got my money's worth.
