There was no hard data to support the statements. It was just how some people enjoy stamp collecting.
Regrettably, I think it is a case of wishful thinking.

I would tend to agree with both of the above opinions.
I haven’t run into any young stamp collectors but a lot of young people are into nostalgia and 20th century modern. I put some 1920s bent wood chairs on Craig’s List and they were purchased by a very nice young couple in their early 20s who were furnishing their house with 20th century antiques. They showed me pictures of their 1950s Formica kitchen set and other furniture they had collected and refinished. And young people are into ancestry and old family history. So it’s not out of the question that we’ll find younger collectors as they age.

Registration wasn't necessary for me when reading it...?
